Jehovah's Friends...
In God's Word we read God referring to Abraham as His friend.
"ART NOT thou our God, who didst drive out the inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to Abraham thy friend for ever?"
(2 Chronicles 20:7)
"BUT THOU, Israel, art my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend".
(Isaiah 41:8)
What a marvelous thing! To be called a friend by the One and Only all powerful Jehovah God, Creator of all things, who "is before all things and by Him all things consist". (Colossians 1:17)
So what did Abraham do to gain the friendship of Jehovah God?
"FOR WHAT saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness".
(Romans 4:3)
"EVEN AS David also describeth the blessedness of the man , unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works," (Romans 4:6)
"BY GRACE are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast".
(Ephesians 2:8-9)

Children of God...
God has spoken to us through His chosen Prophets and Apostles that all people, the entire human race, are God's creation made in the image of God Himself.
"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" (Gen 1:27).
Therefore, all people of the world are the "offspring" of God.
"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device" (Acts 17:28-29).
However, God declares not all are the "children" of God.
"That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed" (Romans 9:8).

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God...
...He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him" (John 3).
