Jehovah's One and Only invitation for all...

A Jehovah's "Friends of God" ministry begins with one Friend of God having a passion to reach the lost with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and desires to see people become the friends of God.

We are God's workmanship called to plant and water His Word. We rely upon the Holy Spirit to lead people through us, that they may hear the Truth and we trust God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit will provide the increase.

[Jesus], "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing". (John 15:5)

[Paul], "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour. For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building." (1 Cor 3:6-9)

A Jehovah's "Friends of God" ministry is an invitational ministry purposefully designed to fulfill Jesus' Great Commission command to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. Each one of us has our own small portion of the world we live in where we can reach out to people for Jesus Christ.

Simple steps:

1. Plan........ a "Friends of God" get together. It could be a breakfast with a friend or an evening BBQ, anything you want. Jesus loved to break bread as a way to connect with people. You could also recruit a friend or friends to begin this ministry with together. Either way is great!

2. Prepare...to read, discuss and apply Scripture, making life applications in the twenty first century. The bible is as relevant today as the day it was penned through God's chosen prophets and Apostles by the Holy Spirit's inspiration. Choose topics from one or more subject matters provided from the "We Are" and "Our Mission" pages. Always present the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our goal is to feed Jesus' sheep and to invite the lost into the kingdom of God.

3. Personally Invite!..... The majority of us interact with people most everyday. Introducing yourself and giving an invitation is very simple. It could go something like this...

"My name is Steve...and you are?"

"Nice to meet you Jim"

"Are you a friend of God?"

"A few of my Christian friends and I are having a get together Thursday evening around six o'clock, we have a good time of fellowship and would love to have you join us."

"Can I give you some information?" (Brochures)

"Can I give you my card?" (Business Card)

(Even if you do not have a current event planned, you can still witness and offer them literature containing the truth of God's Word.)

That's it! No pressure. No hype. It is a simple invitation. Whether the answer is yes or no, seeds are planted, seeds are watered, we trust God to give the increase and we have obeyed Jesus' command to participate in the harvest of souls for Christ. You could maintain a prayer journal and write the names of those invited and keep them in your prayers.

Once you have your group started...

a) plan future fellowships.

b) have each friend in your fellowship invite two more people to a fellowship.

c) encourage each person in your fellowship to plan a gathering of their own.

Tips...

When you invite, It's ok if the answers are "no's", remember their names and pray for them.

It's ok to ask the same people as many times as they are willing to hear you, we know not when the Holy Spirit will move upon them in a mighty way.

Invite family, friends and those who cross your path for any reason. God will place people in our paths, pray that He will.

Invest offerings in brochures and invitational cards to give out. These materials can be viewed and ordered on our Resource page.

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:

After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.

After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time." (1Co 15:1-8)

Preaching the Hope of the world found in the Word of Truth!

"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he

hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight

to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord."
